Hi — I’m George. I started this blog after buying a $90 air fryer that caught fire on the second use. The Amazon reviews for it were 4.7 stars. That experience convinced me that someone needed to take product research more seriously.

My Background

I’m a Puerto Rico-born consumer who’s been living and shopping in the United States for years. I have a background in logistics and supply chain, which means I think about products differently than most reviewers — I’m not just asking “does it work?” I’m asking “is this the best version of what you’re trying to solve, at this price, with this level of durability?”

I’m not a professional journalist. I don’t have a lab. What I have is a compulsive need to research before I buy anything, a willingness to return things that don’t live up to their listings, and about a decade of being the person my friends and family call when they want to know what to buy on Amazon. Infinity Blogs is what happened when I decided to write those recommendations down instead of just texting them.

Why I Started This Blog

The problem with Amazon reviews isn’t that people lie — it’s that people are nice. Someone gets a product, it works fine, they leave five stars. They don’t mention that the handle broke after six months, or that customer service was a nightmare, or that it started smelling like burning plastic. The verified buyer pool is full of people who reviewed on day one, not month six.

I started Infinity Blogs in 2025 because I noticed I was consistently the person in my friend group who bought things, actually used them long enough to have real opinions, and then shared those opinions unprompted at family gatherings. My sister-in-law once told me I’d been replaced at her house by “just asking George first.” That felt like the beginning of something.

The site focuses on products I’ve either tested myself, or where I’ve done deep enough research into the verified review base to identify patterns most buyers miss. I cover home goods, tech, beauty, kitchen, and lifestyle — the categories where Amazon’s selection is vast, the variance in quality is massive, and the consequences of a bad purchase are annoying enough to be worth avoiding.

How I Actually Test Products

I don’t test everything the same way, because not everything should be tested the same way. Sheets need to survive at least eight wash cycles before I’ll tell you they hold up. A cutting board needs to go through a month of daily cooking. A phone charger needs to work with three different device types before I trust it. A skincare product needs a 60-90 day window before I can tell you if it does anything real.

For products I haven’t personally put through a long testing window, I’m transparent about that. I’ll tell you what I found in the research, what patterns I saw in verified buyer reviews over time, and what red flags I noticed. I don’t pretend I’ve personally tested every product on this site — no honest reviewer can say that. What I can promise is that every recommendation here passed a bar that I actually care about.

I also reject a lot of products. For every review you read on Infinity Blogs, there are probably two or three things I looked at and decided weren’t worth writing about — either because the quality didn’t justify the price, because the reviews showed quality control problems, or because something cheaper did the same job better. The products I don’t recommend don’t usually get articles. The ones that do are the ones that passed.

What I Get Wrong (And How I Handle It)

I’ve made bad calls. I recommended a bamboo cutting board set about a year ago that I thought was excellent — it warped badly for several readers after prolonged dishwasher use. I updated the review and changed the recommendation. I’ve recommended products that were later discontinued or replaced with worse versions under the same name. I try to update reviews when I learn something new, and I don’t delete negative feedback from the comments.

If you buy something based on a recommendation from this site and it doesn’t work for you, I genuinely want to know. I read every email. Not every response is fast, but every message gets read. My goal is to be the most useful version of a friend who actually researches this stuff — and good friends tell you when they got something wrong.
